Acropolis & Agora Guided Tour
On this guided tour of the Acropolis and the Agora, we'll discover the foundations of one of the most influential civilizations in history by visiting the Parthenon, the Plaka district, and the Agora Museum.
Acropolis & Agora Guided Tour
After meeting at the selected time at 26 Athanasiou Diakou, we'll embark on a journey to Ancient Greece. Are you ready to visit two of the most famous sites in Athens?
We'll start the tour by visiting the Acropolis, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. With its imposing hilltop location, this site is home to such iconic monuments as the Parthenon, the temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion and its caryatids.
Here we'll discover the main architectural elements used in Classical Greece and explore the ruins of a powerful civilization that influenced the society and culture as we know it today.
The tour will continue through the charming neighborhood of Plaka, strolling through its colorful streets until we reach the Agora. Did you know that this was the center of social, political, and commercial life in ancient Athens?
There we'll explain interesting facts about the functions of the Agora, where political debates, religious celebrations, and even athletic competitions took place. Afterward, we'll visit the Agora Museum to see the treasures housed within its walls, which will help you to better understand the workings of Athenian democracy.
Lastly, after this tour of ancient Greece, we'll bid farewell after four and a half hours.
