Acropolis Guided Tour
On this guided tour of the Acropolis of Athens, we'll visit one of the most iconic Greek temple complexes in the world - a must if you visit the capital of Greece!
Acropolis Guided Tour
At 8:45 am, we'll meet at number 26 Athanasiou Diakou to start this guided tour of the Acropolis. From here, we'll walk to the most iconic landmark in the Greek capital: the hill on which the Upper City of Athens is situated.
We'll walk up the southern slope of the hill to avoid the large crowds of tourists as we take in the beautiful views of the city. Once we reach the top, we'll start our tour of the Acropolis starting with the Theater of Dionysus, which dates back to the 5th century BC. Do you want to know which famous Greek poets had their plays performed there?
Next, we'll learn about the most interesting legends of Greek mythology while touring the monuments of the Acropolis: the world-famous Parthenon, the temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and its caryatids or the Propylaea. This is a dream come true for those passionate about Classical Greece.
Lastly, we'll end the tour at 10:45 am on one of the hills of the Acropolis which offers one of the best panoramic views of Athens.
