Acropolis Guided Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at number 26 Athanasiou Diakou to start this guided tour of the Acropolis. From here, we'll walk to the most iconic landmark in the Greek capital: the hill on which the Upper City of Athens is situated.
We'll walk up the southern slope of this promontory to avoid the large crowds of tourists as we take in the beautiful views of the city. Once we reach the top, we'll start our tour of the Acropolis, starting with the Theater of Dionysus, which dates back to the 5th century BC. Do you want to know which famous Greek poets had their plays performed there?
Next, we'll enter the Acropolis through the Propylaea, the spectacular set of columns at the entrance, and we'll pay special attention to the Temple of Athena Nike. This will undoubtedly be one of the most special moments of the visit.
Once inside, we'll begin learning about the most interesting legends of Greek mythology while touring the monuments of the Acropolis: the world-famous Parthenon and the Erechtheion and its caryatids. This is a dream come true for those passionate about Classical Greece.
We'll end this 2-hour tour of the Acropolis in the best possible way: with one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Athens.
